Sons of Confederate Veterans

The William Henry Parsons Camp #415 was chartered 29 June 2002 in Chatfield, Texas.

Located in Ennis, TX the Parsons Camp serves the Texas Division within the Army of Trans Mississippi Department of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. The Camp is dedicated to preserving the Good Name of the Confederate Soldier and the Cause for which he Fought and to ensure that the truth is taught for all generations to come.

The Parsons Camp members actively support living histoy events, school education programs, period reenactments, cemetery dedications, & parades accross the State of Texas. The Camp also puts on a living history/reenatment at the very same location where it was chartered in Chatfield, known as The Battle of Hodge Oaks Plantation. This event is very close to the location where Col. Jo Shelby held his last Review of the Confederacy before heading into Mexico at the end of the War of Northern Aggression.
